My Current Favourites – February 2021
It’s time for a long-overdue catch-up on some favourites from February and the past few months. If you missed my last 5 favourites post (eeeek so long ago) you can click here. Let’s jump right into it. I’ve already started making a list for Volume V.

Sorbet Stroke Of Genius Eyeliner
This curved eyeliner pen is one of my go-to products every day. You can’t go wrong when applying your eyeliner with this smartpen. It contains vegetable oil to moisturise and a carbon black pigment to create that perfect winged eyeliner look. This product was kindly gifted to me but is something I’ll definitely repurchase as it’s affordable and is really long-lasting, I’ve had my one for a while! It retails for R199.99 from Sorbet and Clicks.

Justine Purley Perfect Concealar
I received this creamy concealer in shade “Light” as part of a campaign I did with Justine and have loved using it since trying it out. You can watch my one Youtube video here and here . It helps cover up imperfections as well as brighten up under your eye area thanks to Vitamin A & E. Like the eyeliner I just mentioned, it’s affordable. Plus this product is proudly South African. This product is currently marked down to R125.00 on the website here.

Eeboo Plant Ladies Puzzle
It wouldn’t be an honest post if I didn’t include my latest love, puzzles. I discovered how much I enjoy doing them during the lockdown. A friend told me about this puzzle from a brand called Eeboo which is women-owned and sustainably sourced. The plant ladies one is just so beautiful and relates to my growing collection of pot plants in my house. My February nights were filled by me building my puzzle. I’ll definitely order some more from this brand. You can get them from Takealot.
ps: Cool fact about this puzzle – it’s made from 90% recycled material, it’s such good quality and it made from vegetable inks.

The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector
With all the hand-washing and constant sanitizing, great hand cream is very much needed. I keep this by my coffee table so I can lather it on at night while I’m watching tv. The community trade hemp seed oil acts as an excellent moisturiser for very dry skin. It also contains organic beeswax for extra nourishment and protection. This rich hand cream retails for R85.00 for 30ml or R165.0 for 100ml from The Body Shop.

“American Dirt” by Jeanine Cummins
One of my favourite series on Netflix is “Queen of The South”. Holding thumbs there will be another season soon. My mom had read so many brilliant reviews on this book and added it to our book club, I was thrilled! It’s about a bookshop owner and her son that are fleeing the cartel. It takes you on their journey of getting to America as well as the reason why they had to flee. I felt like I could picture everything that was happening. I can highly recommend it!
