Make a Difference with Cape Island This Month
If you are one of my Instagram followers, by now you’d know that I am obsessed with the brand, Cape Island. It’s a local female-owned business that has honestly got me hooked. If you walk into my house, you are guaranteed to see some of their products on display. I usually have one of their big candles burning when I have people over.
So why am I such a fan you may ask? For one, their candles are the only ones that I have experienced where their scent truly fills the room. I get so irritated when I buy a nice candle and then you can’t even smell it properly. Secondly, their packaging is just *chefs kiss*. Let me know if you to see how I reuse their candle jars and even their packaging? I mentioned in this post how the simple act of lighting a candle when I get home from work, is one of my things I do for happiness.

Cape Island & Giving Back
Through sales of their African Storm range this month, Cape Island is donating a percentage to support local non-profit organizations, Hope Risen and S-Cape.
Hope for Women was founded in 2009 with the vision to end human trafficking and bring restoration to survivors through awareness and prevention initiatives, which are carried out alongside direct interventions to rescue, restore and reintegrate those who have fallen prey to the horrors of trafficking.
S-CAPE, founded in 2010, is a faith-based, non-profit organization located in the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa. They are a diverse group composed of staff and volunteers from different continents, cultures, and backgrounds on a joint mission to bring restoration to victims of human trafficking.
A non-profit organization committed to doing its part to bring freedom, justice, and restoration to modern-day enslaved people. The organization depends on volunteers like many other antislavery organizations.
