My Top Picks This Spring 2018
When winter hits here in Pretoria in South Africa, my skin gets so dry. Expecting it to feel better in Spring isn’t always the case though as the change of season sometimes takes even more of a toll on my skin and it’s dry condition. Enter the products below that I’ve been loving these past few weeks. Want to know more about them? Carry on reading.
Dermalogica Calm Water Gel
This water gel is a must-have for me! Not only is it light; refreshing and hydrating, but also a super handy travel companion. I always have this in my carry on for long-haul flights to hydrate my skin throughout the flight. I also use it when I just want something lightweight yet effective on my skin. Philosophia Botanica Jade Facial Roller
While there are so many benefits for a Jade facial roller, I have two reasons why I enjoy using it so much. Number one, I find it oddly relaxing. The second reason is that it helps to depuff my face especially with thanks to springtime allergies. I’ve read a few blogs that say you should even keep yours in the fridge to be more effective, I just need to remember to put it in the fridge next time haha.
You can read more about this Jade roller and where to get it over on my post here.
Dr. Hauschka Night Serum
Another lightweight yet effective product that I’ve chatted about recently on my blog is the Night Serum from Dr. Hauschka. Gentle, organic ingredients make up this serum that feels so nourishing on your skin. It’s perfect to use every night if you feel your skin needs a hydrating boost. It’s a small tube but the great thing with this product is that a little bit goes a long way.

SKOON. Beautifuel Double Thick Cream
As much as I enjoy the lightweight products in Spring, sometimes my skin needs an extra boost. This super thick cream is great for those days when you just want to lather on a hydrating layer of cream. I don’t use this rich cream every night but more when I feel my skin needs it.
This local skincare product is also featured on my blog over here.
Dermalogica Biolumin-C Serum
Another Dermalogica product that I’ve really been enjoying using lately and that has so many benefits is the Biolumin-C Serum. I’m mainly using it to hopefully help with my pigmentation but I’ve definitely seen an improvement in my skins plumpness. I try to use this product twice a day before applying a cream.

Babor Ampoules
Something that is also always in my travel bag, and never far from my beauty counter is the ampoules from Babor. There are so many varieties for all different effects on your skin. I’m so pedantic about them when I travel that I even bubble wrap them – ya, I’m that serious about them!
I’ve blogged a few times about the Babor ampoules but you can head to my latest blog post on them over here.
