The beginning of May started with a bang for me with a stay at The Capital Moloko in Sandton, Johannesburg. If you follow me on Instagram, you’d have seen that myself and a group of girls were utterly spoilt with a night away for a special occasion. Our dear friend, Irina, asked us to be part of her “I Do” crew – yay!
A Night in Sandton
While I’ll chat more about the bridesmaids festivities (I want to post a “Diary of A Bridesmaid” series on here filling you in on everything), I wanted to chat more about my night at The Capital Moloko.
Situated in Sandton, but nestled in an area that gives you complete privacy and makes you feel like you’re not even in the city, you will find The Capital Moloko. It was designed to be an oasis in the city. Offering you a deluxe hotel with luxury suites, apartments, a modern conference center and Reuben’s Restaurant & Bar.
First Impressions Count
From the moment I had parked my car, I was treated like royalty. I opened my car door and was greeted by name by the staff who all immediately made me feel very welcomed. There are two members of the team who also greet you when you arrive, 2 Harlequin Great Danes named Duke and Gigi. Naturally I said hello to them.
There are luxury rooms; executive suites and 2 bedroom apartments. Making it ideal for those traveling for either business or leisure. Prices ranges from R3240 for one night in the luxury room to R5330 for one night in one of the apartments. To find out prices for your ideal dates you can click here. *prices may change.
I stayed in one of the Executive Suites and it was such a comfortable stay. It had it’s own lounge, kitchenette, en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower and private balcony that looked out onto the lush gardens.
Reuben’s
What makes this branch of The Capital extra special, is that it is the home of Reuben’s restaurant and bar which is the first move of Chef Reuben outside of his flagship restaurant in Franschhoek. A few glasses of wine with the girls, and the most delicious meals made our evening even better. I would highly recommend having dinner there one night if you are in the area, it is definitely worth it!
Camelot Spa Moloko
Another perk of The Capital Moloko is the on-site spa from the Camelot Spa group. All treatment rooms open up onto the gardens, creating a tranquil space. We were indulged in a back and neck massage which was a perfect ending to our stay.
Thanks so much Irina for spoiling us with such an indulgent stay! I can’t wait to visit again soon.
