[BEAUTY]: Winter Makeup From Essence

It’s always exciting getting new makeup and while I usually cannot resist purchasing something from the Essence stand whenever I visit Clicks or Dis-Chem, these beauty babies arrived at my doorstep a few weeks ago and I’ve been testing them out to see what I can recommend to you guys.

From left to right we have 25 All or Nutting; 08 Coral Me Maybe… & 03 Smooth Caramel. These soft, velvety light colours are perfect for adding a lighter touch to your eyes and can be used for highlighting and playing up the coral element in terms of your cheeks and lips. Plus I love the embossed chequered pattern on the Velvet Eyeshadows.

Next we have the 2 in 1 Eyeshadow & Liner in 03 Light Me Up & 06 She’s Got The Mauve. They can be used as an eyeshadow or eyeliner but I like to apply Light Me Up to the inner corners of my eyes and then She’s Got The Mauve as my eyeliner on my bottom lashes, both help enhance my eyes. Love this product!

Another product I’ve been using everyday, is the Prettifying Lip Oil in 02 First Help, Pinky. This lip oil is enriched with Jojoba Oil to give your lips a boost of hydration. It has a very subtle pink tint and doesn’t leave my lips feeling sticky. Perfect for winter!

Now this mascara has taken some getting used to. The brush is huge! This Forbidden Volume Rebel Mascara gives dramatic volume, but like I said, I’m still trying to get used to using such a large brush.

Another product that has taken some used to, and which I still need to practice with. The Superfine Eyeliner Pen Waterproof  has a very slim felt tip which I’m sure can be used to create awesome winged eyeliner looks. I’m sure I’ll get there with it soon.

A fantastic palette that will help conceal any types of imperfections due to the 5 different colours.  This … All I Need Concealer Palette has the following uses:

♥ pink and yellow helps reduce dark circles under the eyes

♥ green neutralizes redness

♥ the lighter and darker beige shades have a mattifying effect and can even be used for contouring.

Last, but not least, we have the Velvet Stick Matt Lip Colour in 05 Plum Perfect. Now I was already a fan of these Velvet Sticks when I bought the nude coloured one (you can watch my YouTube video on it here) so I was keen to add a winter hue to my collection. These don’t leave your lips feeling dried out and the colours look fab! I’m going to pop by the shops soon to add some more colours to my collection!
