My Current Favourites – June 2021
.
It’s Volume Five and the next installment of my 5 Favourites series and this time it’s all beauty-related. My next one will have a few book recommendations again though. For now, though, let me tell you a bit about these products that made it to volume five of my series.
.
Ren Clean Jelly Oil Cleanser
.
I chatted about this cleanser last year. You can read that post here. But in between switching cleansers for testing, I still had a bit of product left and used the last of it a few weeks ago. I mentioned in this post why I’m such a fan of it but to give you a recap, I love oil cleansers as I really dislike that tight, dry, feeling some cleansers leave you with. I’d highly recommend this cleanser now in the colder months as I’m sure your skin is like mine and gets so dry in the winter!
.
LCN Va Va Voom Mascara
.
I posted about this mascara a while ago on my Instagram reels, you can watch it here, and have been loving it since! It has a soft brush but packs some great volume with each coat. It’s also suitable for those with sensitive eyes. Who doesn’t love some mega volume for their lashes? Available for R410.00 from LCN online here.
.
Justine Tissue Oil Gold with SPF25
.
At the beginning of the year, a little accident in the kitchen led to a nasty burn on my arm. Since it healed, I’ve been religiously applying the Justine Tissue Oil on to try to help reduce the scar. This one contains SPF25 along with added Vitamin C and Almond Oil. It’s a bit pricier than the normal Justine Tissue Oil, but it’s currently on special for R369.00 here. You can read more of my thoughts on the Justine Tissue Oil range over here on this blog post.
.
Claire Hill WPC Eye Complex
.
This product is one of my more recently reviewed products but decided to add it to the series to emphasize again how impressed I am with it. I don’t always remember to use it but when I do, I kick myself for not making it a proper part of my routine as it makes such a difference in hydrating the skin around my eyes. A tiny pump of this gel goes a long way! You can read more on what I think about this eye gel over here.
.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
.
I have such sensitive eyes when it comes to removing my eye makeup, so I struggle to usually find one that works for me but this Micellar water from Garnier is such a winner! I also use it to pre-cleanse my skin sometimes but the main reason I love it is because of how gentle it is on removing my eye makeup. It’s also affordable which is a huge win! It’s R99.99 from Clicks so I recommend stocking up when they have their specials so you never run out.
Thanks so much for reading Volume Five of my 5 favourites series. Let me know if any of these items are your top products too?
