Olgani, is a South African oral care company that specialises in natural and eco-friendly toothpastes and mouth washes. Free from glycerine, fluoride, sweeteners, foaming agents, artificial preservatives, dyes, artificial anti-bacterial agents and artificial flavours, these products are effective in leaving your mouth feeling fresh and clean.
Now when it comes to using the products, I was a bit hesitant at first. I don’t know what it is, but I’m pretty stuck in my ways when it comes to toothpaste. I think it’s because I’ve got slightly sensitive teeth so I don’t like to steer away from my usual toothpaste.
The best way to describe the taste from these products – salty! I mean like, it reminded me of swimming in the sea and accidentally swallowing sea water. Intense and very different. Having said that though, the packaging even states that the taste is something you have to get used to. This is because they don’t sweeten their products. Another thing to get used to, the toothpaste doesn’t foam. The good thing is, you are left with a fresh, minty mouth afterwards. That’s the main goal in my opinion.
The Olgani Herbal Refreshing Toothpaste & the Olgani Mineral Rich Evening Toothpaste both require you to use only a pea size amount and like I mentioned, it takes some getting used to.
Both retail for R63.00 online at Faithful-To-Nature
The Olgani Clove and Xylitol Mouth Wash and the Olgani Sage and Spearmint Mouth Wash come in a powder form. Mix a small amount with about 50ml of warm water and use it as a mouthwash after brushing your teeth. The Sage and Spearmint one is my favourite as I’m a huge fan of spearmint!
These mouth washes retail for R59.00 online at Faithful-to-Nature
