A full coverage foundation from a cruelty-free brand that includes 45 shades seems ideal right? For most people, like myself, that’s a total win and I was so excited to try out this new foundation but this review is a mixed one so be prepared.

A Bit Of Info On The New Range

You may have noticed in the past year, brands are expanding their shade ranges. Brilliant, and I highly encourage all brands to continue with this. This new range from NYX Professional Makeup was created in collaboration with the LA-based beauty influencer Alissa Ashley – you can see her Instagram post announcing the collaboration over here. 

The Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Full Coverage Foundation is described by NYX Professional Makeup as “full coverage, lightweight, long-wearing, waterproof, matte, transfer-resistant, noncomedogenic, and for all skin types. “

My Thoughts On This Product

I’m a fan of the actual packaging (more than the product). A square bottle is easier to pack away, doesn’t roll off your beauty counter and I like that it has a pump. You’ll know from my reviews that packaging can make a big difference. I love a pump as it doesn’t get as messy.

Now, for the actual product. In my opinion, this foundation is more of a medium-coverage product than a full-coverage product. It’s lightweight as described which is always great as it doesn’t feel cakey on your skin. I have normal skin but I felt this foundation slipped off too easily. At the end of the day, there wouldn’t be much coverage left.

With this new range, there is also the Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Primer which creates a matte effect. I found this primer difficult to apply so it’s kind of just been pushed to the back of my drawer. I think if you have oily skin, this primer will work well for you though.

This is only the second foundation I’ve tried from NYX Professional Beauty, the first one was the Stay Matte Not Flat Foundation. 

I still want to try the Total Control Drop Foundation as I’ve heard such great feedback about it! So while I won’t necessarily be rushing out to buy more Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Full Coverage Foundation, the next time I’m in Clicks, I’ll buy some of the Total Control Drop Foundation.
