With all the fun and festive products that The Body Shop launched at the end of last year, this product was one of the top ones that I was most excited about to test out because as you’ll know from all my posts, anything to do with a highlighting effect is a win in my books.
(ps: pop over to this post to see what I thought about the Frosted Plum Body Butter that was part of their Christmas range).
There are so many ways to use these drops which is just another reason why I like this product, the versatility is amazing! So how exactly do you use it? It can be used on top of your makeup as a highlighter or it can be mixed into your foundation to give you a lustre finish.
When I first got this product, I thought I’d mainly use it as a highlighter on my cheekbones on top of my makeup but I’ve actually found that my favourite use for these drops are to mix one or two drops into my foundation. It just gives your skin a beautiful dewy look. I sometimes find with high coverage foundations, they can give too much of a matte look so these drops just add a bit of luminosity to your look.
That being said, you don’t have to worry about walking out of the house looking like a disco ball as it’s a subtle glow.
The packaging is a glass bottle with a dropper which I’ve found to be really handy for when I’m adding it to my foundation. Like I mentioned, I only add 1-2 drops to my foundation. If you’re using it as a highlighter on top of your makeup, you can build up the luminous effect.
This product from The Body Shop is 100% vegan! How cool is that! Plus it is suitable for all skin tones as it’s just mixed with your usual foundation.
Available for R280.00 from The Body Shop, I highly recommend adding this to your makeup collection – I hope you enjoy using it as much as I do!
