Light-activated skin defense sunscreen
As I get older, the usage of sunscreen protection is no longer a question. It’s become a staple part of my morning routine. Especially as I have fair skin. It’s difficult finding a sunscreen that works as well as your favourite day cream. Enter the Prisma Protect from Dermalogica, a master multitasker.
How Does It Protect Your Skin?
Its advanced formula does more than just simply protect your skin against UV light and free radical damage. It actually uses it to skinβs advantage! So how is this done? Well, Dermalogica has found a way to use light-activated intelligent technology which converts visible light into increased skin radiance for a natural glow. Leaving you with lustrous and protected skin.
The Prisma Protect offers you protection, hydration, and radiance in all in one. While the Broad Spectrum Defense SPF30 sunscreen provides protection from UV damage, it also helps protect skin again free radicals and pollution with its breakthrough antioxidant technology. Something that our everyday lifestyle can’t escape. It also includes a bio-ferment from sage which helps maintain an even skin tone. As for the hydration factor, moisture magnets provide all-day hydration for visibly smooth skin.
What My Thoughts Are On The Product
I took this with to Zambia with me in August (blog post on that trip coming soon) as I thought it would be the best place to test it out. I’d apply it in the morning before we headed out on the Zambezi River and then would reapply during the day as it was really hot up there. It’s so lightweight and moisturising so you don’t feel like you are wearing a thick sunscreen but rather a light day cream. It’s become an everyday product for me and will be brilliant for spring and summer when I’m outdoors a lot more (but still wear your sunscreen in winter kids!).
Yes Or No?
The price tag on the Prisma Protect is hefty, as with most products from Dermalogica. But, the best way to justify it to yourself and your bank account is that you’re buying a two-in-one product – see how sneaky I can be π Available online here for R1,099.00 or in stores that stock Dermalogica. It’s a yes from me, and often I wait for specials to stock up on my Dermalogica products so keep an eye out in stores or online. If you missed my previous Dermalogica post, click here. It’s another product I’ll be stocking up on!
