This month’s “Currently Testing” is quite an exciting one as most of the products are not only cruelty-free, but many are eco-friendly *high-five for green beauty*. Some products are perfect for traveling and others are part of our everyday routine but with a green twist added to them.
These are just some brief descriptions of what’s landed on my beauty desk this month but let me know which products you’d like a full review on?
Cotton wool; ear buds and facial wipes are something I use everyday in my beauty routine. Those ear buds are always there to save the day when I unintentionally smudge my eyeliner and the facial wipes and cotton wool help me to remove my makeup at the end of the day. I’ve used the cotton wool rounds and ear buds so often and am currently using the facial wipes for normal skin but these are welcome to my beauty cupboard any day! Flushable; biodegradable and eco-conscious, I’m a big fan of these products from the Cherubs eco range!
ps: moms, they have baby wipes too!
Next, we have the Ugandan Shea Butter (citrus scented) by SOil. I’ve used the plain shea butter from SOil before and let me tell you, it’s a dream for dry winter skin! This one contains a blend of Bergamot and Grapefruit essential oils with Ugandan Shea Butter, this helps hydrate skin and the citrus blend helps with circulation.
100% organic, oh yes!
I’m not even going to play around here, this exfoliating shower gel smells like a cirtus cocktail, can someone pass me a glass? Pink Grapefruit & Mandarin are combined to create this freshly scented shower gel that exfoliates your skin. Sounds divine!
My hair has been so dry lately (even though I’ve been using serums and masks) so this Extra Moisturising Shampoo and Conditioner for blonde hair seems like it will be a welcomed relief. The shampoo contains Argan Oil; Vitamin E and Pro Vitamin B5 while the conditioner contains Argan Oil and Chamomile extract. I haven’t tried this brand before so I’ll let you guys know!
I’m so excited to try out this Starter Pack from Ordinary! Plus I think it’s perfect for traveling! I’ve tested the Day Cream and Moisturing Balm (read those reviews here) and was impressed so I’m sure the Night Cream; Exfoliator and Cleanser are going to be winners!
Another products I’m looking forward to using is this Insect Repellent Spray from Pure Beginnings. I’ve used to stick one before and often take it with me on holidays (check out this post on it here), so I think the spray will be just as useful. I cannot stand mozzie repellents, I feel like they close up my chest but this scent is so refreshing! Perfect for the whole family!
