Spending The Night at SOHO, Sun City
November was an exciting travel month for me, including a night spent at one of my favorite resorts – Sun City. It was the first time I stayed at the hotel called SOHO so I thought it would be great to share my experience with you. You can read the whole reason why I was lucky enough to stay at SOHO over here.

Safety First at Sun City

While we are still in the midst of a pandemic, all safety measures are in place. This is so you can feel safe while enjoying your time at the resort. I will be honest, it’s actually quite heartbreaking as the resort has used a lot of plastic to make sure everything is hygienic. I do understand why they are doing it. Everything is constantly sanitized and social distancing is in place. Each room is sanitized and sealed before guests arrive.

Accommodation & More About SOHO

There are 9 different types of rooms available at SOHO, Sun City. You can check them all out here. In all my years of visiting Sun City, I’ve always referred to SOHO as the Main Hotel. Did you know, it was the first hotel to be built on the resort.
It has a 4-star Sun City rating and the accommodation is located right at the heart of Sun City. One of the big perks of staying at SOHO is that you are right by the action of the casino. There is a free shuttle every 15 minutes taking you to the Valley of Waves, Sun Central entertainment centre and other activities within the resort.
It has a divine pool area. While I had some free time during the JMCA press briefing I hit the pool area straight away. I could’ve spent the whole day there. Plus you can’t go to Sun City without sipping on a strawberry daiquiri!

There is just so much to do at Sun City. While day visiting is not permitted during lockdown, I can highly recommend a few nights to stay there. I even had dinner at the Crocodile Lounge for the first time. You can read some of my previous posts on my stays there. My experience at The Cabanas; celebrating Sun City’s 40th birthday and of course the exclusive Palace of the Lost City.
ps: Did you catch my IGTV on my stay?
Thank you again to the Hlubi Kingdom for hosting me as noted in this blog post.
