June 2011 was the year I decided to share my journey of wanting to be more eco-friendly and today as I type this, 5 years down the line, I still think it was one of the best decisions I ever made. 5 years of blogging has taught me so much about the environment; life and where I want to be one day. It’s also brought the greatest friends into my life as well as solidified my support system, of which I’ll always be grateful for.
While I’ve been emphasizing different ways of going green while still being glamorous, I’m not perfect at it. I’m obsessed with recycling and only using cruelty-free products, but I still eat meat, which is a personal choice. Having said that though, I do honestly try my best at being as green as possible like for example, this balloon will be recycled when its deflated haha.
I have 2 jobs, 2 totally different jobs and I’m blessed with a few groups of friends. This is the part where balance comes in hand as I try juggle work; my social life and my blog. Balance is key and I don’t always get it right but it’s something I try work on. My health is not always the best and I’ve got a long list of what my brother calls “the medical mysteries of Cassidy Taylor-Memmory” and that unfortunately stops me in my tracks sometimes but I get through it!
I love writing for The Glam Green Girl, I love thinking of different ways to shoot products or what I can share with my readers. I strive to do well in whatever I approach and I hope this reflects in my blog.
I also want to take a moment to thank Warren Carroll from Warroll Photography for always helping me put together my ideas for style posts and for taking such beautiful photos each time.
