Urban Decay, a brand synonymous with the word edgy, is finally coming to South Africa. The anticipation of waiting for this brand to grace our shores has been incredible. I first heard about Urban Decay when the NAKED palettes became a cult product in beauty lovers lives. This lead to me asking the beauty gods to send them our way soon – behold, my prayers, along with 90% other beauties prayers, were answered! Urban Decay SA is coming beginning of July!

I first read about this palette on In The Frow’s blog , and because I’m such a huge fan of hers, I knew it had to be added to my makeup collection! As my first Naked Palette, I was shaking with excitement to use this baby!

Smokey. sultry, rich. All in all, gorgeous!

Ranging from subtle golds and neautrals through to your cooler shades, and then onto the more toned down matte shades, this palette has every colour you would need to create beautiful make up looks.

Buttery, velvety smooth and exceptionally pigmented, these eyeshadows go from shimmery, to a subtle glimmer to matte.  Total bonus of this palette? The double ended high quality brush which helps you blend these shades together perfectly. And no, it’s not like a normal bad quality brush you get with a palette, this is legit!

Below is a look I created using High; Amour; Slated and a touch of Dagger. I actually had to tone the look down a bit as I had never done such an intense smoky look before. Like I previously mentioned, these shades are so pigmented so just a slight touch of your brush on the shade is enough.

Below are images from the Urban Decay website of the NAKED, NAKED 2 & NAKED 3 palettes. Life goal – to own them all! At R850, these are definitely worth it as you get 12 gorgeous shades, a brilliant brush and unlimited chances to create beautiful makeup looks for any day or night.

ps: the first Urban Decay store will open up in Sandton in the beginning of July! 604214916630_naked604214916463_naked2

So beauty junkies, which one are you going to buy first?

Ah I’ve wanted the Naked2 for the longest time. Whenever I was overseas I would convert to ZAR faint and then walk away devastated. Can’t wait for them to open in Cape Town too! <3 C

Goodness you describe it so beautifully. That brush sounds luxurious and the eye shadows almost edible!!
Love the look you created with the smoky pallet… can we take a moment for that smoky pallet cover!!

Would need to see these pallets as 1-3 looks similar.
