A suede, matte, finish with a metallic look, this is what you can expect from the new range from NYX Professional Makeup.  Jumping on the success of the Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks, these have an added metallic finish for that extra dash of glamour.

From deep reds to a vibrant purple and a bright pink – there is something for everyone. Personally, I’m more of a fan of the darker colours for winter so I tend to opt for wine reds and burgundy.

Thoughts on these products?

The application is super easy with the spongy flock, and these colours are so pigmented that one swipe adds enough colour. They are long-lasting and don’t leave you with that dried out feeling that some liquid lipsticks do.

I also enjoy that the metallic finish is not too intense, so you can wear them for daytime in the office. My favourite shade from the ones I tested, is number 39 Modern Maven which is a deep wine with a cool undertone.

I think I’ll pop Exposed into my trolley the next time I’m at Clicks, it’s a beautiful nude with a gold shimmer.
