World Water Day Challenge

Water, one of the worlds most precious resources is coming into focus next week as it’s World Water Day on the 22nd of March. Well I try and save water whenever possible, I wrote this post (click here)  a while ago with tips on saving water and I still focus on trying to implement them on a daily basis.

Giorgio Armani has teamed up with Green Cross for the past 5 years to help give clean water to those that need it most. Acqua for Life is a humanitarian campaign on a global scale and Green Cross International estimates that many of us use over 100 liters of water every day. But in some parts of the world, 10 liters is a luxury.

This year for World Water day, I’ve asked two of my readers to join me in only using 10 liters of water throughout the whole day. This means we only have that limited amount of water to use for our cooking; cleaning; washing; drinking etc.

Aléz Odendaal from Toofufu (see her website here) and Scarlet Nguni (see her website here) are going to be joining me with this challenge next week. You can keep up with our updates on our challenge with the hashtag #1Day10litres

I’ll be writing a post next week on how I went about my day using only 10 litres of water and what new tips I learnt on saving water.

You can read more about this initiative on the Acqua for Life website and if you’d like to get involved or donate, you can click here.

So, will you be joining me on Tuesday for World Water Day?
