Before you apply your beautiful makeup to your gorgeous face, how do you prep your skin to make sure you look your ultimate best as well as make sure it stays on perfectly the whole day?

I first discovered Urban Decay’s Prep sprays when I bought a travel size of the B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Priming Spray which I really enjoyed using. I pretty much used it everyday and only finished the bottle last week. Impressive for a travel sized bottle! Recently I got to try out the Quick Fix Hydra-Charged Complexion Prep Priming Spray. To me it’s very similar to the B6 spray, except that it contains coconut water which is so hydrating. It even has a coconut scent. You can spray it on your face in the morning to “wake” your face up; during the day when you feel you just need to refresh your skin and even before your night time routine.

Next, we have 2 out of the 4 new primers from Urban Decay.

First is the Urban Defense Complexion Primer which is a first in it’s class as it’s a clear sunscreen (SPF 30) that doesn’t mess with your make up routine, as well as a primer. Now we all know how important it is to wear your sunscreen everyday but living in sunny South Africa makes it an absolute must. This gel formula contains conditioning ingredients like sesame seed extract, tomato fruit extract, squalane and bisabolol (derived from the Brazilian candeia tree). I love that this primer allows me to apply my make up on smoothly while protecting my skin. Perfect for those days out.

Secondly, we have the Self-Adjusting Complexion Primer. This might actually be my favourite primer as it applies like a dream! It’s a colour-correcting formula that takes a bit of blending, but it’s totally worth it. It contains micro-encapsulated beads of pigment that adjust to your skin tone. My skin feels so velvety after I’ve applied it, and my makeup applies so smoothly afterwards. I love the soft focus effect it creates. Total winner in my books.

If there is a product you need, it’s this All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray! I’ve been using the travel-sized version and absolutely adore it!
