When it comes to the art of contour, I’m the furthrest from being a pro. In fact, I pretty much have no idea how to slay the way of contouring. I am however, a huge fan of some bronzer and my ever so favourite, highlighter! Glow baby glow!
That’s the great thing about this palette, you can be a total beginner like me, or a seasoned contouring pro! Perfect for your beauty collection.
Apart from being cruelty-free and affordable, I’ve always been a fan of NYX Professional Makeup’s blushes and highlighters. Their Strobe of Genius Palette is one of my absolute favs, so even though the contour side of the palette intimidated me a bit, I knew it would be such great quality.
This palette contains eight shades for contouring and highlighting, and it suits pretty much all skin tones. The powdered shades are a creamy like texture and super easy to blend.
Now that I’ve gotten a bit of a tan this summer, I can use some of the darker shades as my bronzer. You can even sweep your brush over a few of the shades to create your desired shade. I love the highlighters (obviously) but am yet to use the banana powder (third one in the top row) as a setting powder. Apparently it’s fantastic to use to set your under eye concealer.
This palette is so versatile, plus if you finish your favourite shade, you can buy it as a single and pop it in. I think I even want to try use the darker shade as an eyeshadow?
Available for R394.95 from most clicks stores as well as the NYX Professional Makeup standalone stores in Canal Walk and Sandton, this is a brilliant buy!
Let me if you have this palette or you’re thinking of buying it soon? Maybe a little Christmas gift to yourself?

December 8, 2017This palette looks good. I keep on seeing this banana powder shade popping up. I have also recently started using the dark/bronzing shades of my current palette as an eyeshadow and love it.
Love that you can replace the ones that are finished. I always end up finishing one or two way before the rest.
