[BEAUTY]: Essence Sheer & Shine Lipsticks

Light on your lips and with a subtle tint of colour, this is what you can expect from the Sheer & Shine Lipsticks from Essence. 

While packaged like a lipstick, these sheer lipsticks are more like tinted lip balms in my opinion. While saying that though, these lipsticks are great to pop on your handbag for when your lips need some hydration and a touch of sheer colour.

I tested out the following shades: 01 My First Love; 02 Cute Nude and 07 Sparkling Miracle. While they are not the lipsticks I reach for when I’m doing my make up in the morning as their colours are too sheer, I do keep them in my makeup bag so I can touch up during the day.

The nudes don’t show much on your lips (hence why I feel like it’s more of a tinted lipbalm)  but the darker colours, as seen above in the photo, have more of an impact. At R38.95 for one they are well priced and worth popping into your shopping basket.
