[TRAVEL]: 2 Nights At Brahman Hills, Midlands – March 2018

A few weeks ago, Natalie; Sarah and I headed on a little road trip to the Midlands to spend the weekend at Brahman Hills. I had seen Brahman Hills pop up quite a bit on social media and once I checked out the website I knew we were in for an amazing weekend.

Brahman Hills scored major points in my books when they offered us the most delicious cup of hot chocolate as we arrived. Satisfy my sweet tooth, especially after a long car ride, and you’re a winner! Our home for the next two nights was the Chameleon Cottage, a 3 bedroom; 3 bathrooms; self-catering cottage surrounded by beautiful fields.

Each room has a king-sized bed; plus since it can get quite cold in the Midlands, we arrived at pre-heated bedrooms! Lavender on all towels; blankets to keep you extra cosy – it’s the small details that just make your stay even more pleasurable!

On Saturday we enjoyed a breakfast while taking in the views and then decided to take a little drive down the road to explore a bit. We ended up popping into Terbodore for a coffee tasting – such a great place to spend your morning! It’s so beautiful driving around with all the green scenery surrounding you.

Later that day we headed back to our cottage and sipped champagne while relaxing in the jacuzzi while zebras; bucks and cattle grazed past us. I truly relaxed after a few hectic weeks that had passed and so enjoyed just spending time with the girls.

We later headed to 89 On Copper, the signature restaurant of Brahman Hills for a 3-course dinner – let me just tell you, the mussels starter was one of the best mussel dishes I’ve ever had! Delicious! We rolled out of their with our full tummies!

On Sunday we explored the grounds a bit, I had been dying to go visit the glass chapel that overlooks the lake – absolutely exquisite! You feel such a sense of calmness when you enter the chapel. I could have happily spent some time just reflecting in there.

Next on our agenda for the day was a visit to the Brahman Hills SpaIf you aren’t convinced enough by the serene views; the beautifully decorated accommodation; the attention to every detail; then this will in no doubt change your mind. This was one of the best spa experiences I’ve had, hands down!

First of all, the actual spa and its rooms are stunning! Plush blue chairs; circular windows; water flowing everywhere – you immediately feel relaxed as soon as you walk through the doors. We were very kindly treated to a 90-minute full body massage and then a pedicure in the manicure/pedicure room afterwards. The actual massage was what dreams are made of. Our therapists started off by asking which bath salts we would like and explained what each does, and then what oils we would like for our massages. We first had a full body exfoliation and then got to get in a hot bath with bath salts in a tranquil setting. As if that wasn’t relaxing enough, we then had a full body massage that completely released all of my tension. After our treatments, we all chatted upstairs while having our toes done and sipping on cappuccinos.

I’ll say it again – amazing experience!

Another reason I’m such a fan of Brahman Hills – they have a recycling garden! How awesome! Obviously the fact that they have one excited me a lot – I mean, it’s totally glam and green *wink wink*

I’ve seen on Brahman Hill’s social media platforms that they have some really cool specials – so why not book that 2 night stay with your partner, or a bunch of your girls (we honestly had such a fab trip together) – pop over to their website for more information.
