Time To Chat and Catch Up
I haven’t written a catch up and chat post in so long. But let’s be honest, none of us exactly have a lot of news lately with lock downs and quarantines happening all over the world during this pandemic. Nevertheless, I still wanted to touch base with you guys and chat.
ps: you can read more of my catch up posts here and here.

How I’m Feeling During Lockdown
A reader asked me the other day how I’m feeling during lock down and it really got me thinking. So I wanted to chat about it. I’m definitely the type of person that blocks things out. So I’ve been merrily shutting everything out these past few months. Boy, did it catch up to me. It all of a sudden felt like I had been pushing a rock uphill and hadn’t made any progress.
It was recently a long weekend here in South Africa and as much as I’ve been trying to keep myself busy on the weekends, I decided to just chill and take it as it comes. It was honestly the best thing I could’ve done for myself. I painted; read my book; relaxed in the garden and tried to just give myself a break.
I’ve been so frustrated with the progress, or actually lack of progress, with my new place. It gets me so upset because as much as I want to be excited to move into it, I keep trying not to think of it as I still have no idea when I’ll be able to move in.
I’m exceptionally grateful to still be working every day though. My heart breaks for those who have lost their jobs and businesses during these past few months. It’s just not fair.

Instagram Q&A
This week, I asked on my Instagram if you had anything specific you wanted to ask me and chat about so will share them below.
What Am I Currently Reading?
I’ve just finished “Hothouse Flower” by Lucinda Riley and I loved it! It switches between Europe during the war and Thailand, past and present. I always find myself getting so involved with the characters in Lucinda Riley’s books and that’s exactly why I’m such a fan of her writing style. I often don’t want the stories to end.
How Are You Doing Mentally?
Think I covered that in the beginning of my post – thank you for checking on me though *hugs*
Self Care Tips
I wrote this blog post at the beginning of lockdown and I think most of it still applies to today’s circumstances. My biggest tip would be to find some time to treat yourself. If you’re comfortable enough with visiting a salon, maybe go for a manicure or a blow wave? If that’s out of the question for you, try treating yourself to an at home facial or spa vibe. Apply a face mask and hair mask, have a hot bubble bath and soak. I always love a bath after a long day.
Your Hair Care Routine
Treatments are your best friend! I only wash my hair about once a week and try to air dry when I can. I think I should a hair care post soon? Let me know if you’d be interested?

Let’s Chat Tie-Dye Tees
I know this is a catch up post but I just wanted to tell you about this t-shirt that I recently bought from T-Shirts For Change. It’s part of their RE Wear section, just like the Eco Puffer Jacket from this post. It’s hand dyed in small batches and each tee recycles 2 plastic bottles. I immediately ordered one as soon as I saw them on their Instagram. Definitely need the sand colour one too!
