[EAT]: Delicious Lunch at Toula’s
I love when I find a restaurant close to where I live that caters to my taste buds, and Toula’s is one of those. I’ve been a fan of Greek food since I can remember (part of the reason I wanted to go to Greece so much) and Toula’s serves as a mix of traditional Greek dishes with a fusion of new, modern; freshly thought of Greek dishes.
Delicious Greek Dishes
So what do I recommend having when I pop in for lunch? Toula’s is all about sharing, so instead of main meals, they offer mezedes with the idea of ordering a few different dishes to place in the middle of the table and everyone has a taste of all the different dishes. Whether it be the more traditional dishes or the dishes that Toula’s have put their own spin on, there is something for everyone. I tend to lean more towards the vegetarian and fish dishes but their menus range for everyone’s preferences.
So many choices
You can’t go to Toula’s and not begin with some pita bread and their delicious dips, my personal favourite is the Taramasalata. After warming up your taste buds for the dishes you’re about to consume, you can choose between vegetarian; seafood; meat; kota (chicken) mezedes; a variety of salads and a choice of delicious sides to accompany your mezedes. Followed by some Halva ice-cream or perhaps some classic baklava and you’ll leave with a fully tummy and a smile on your face.
This restaurant is such a great place to meet with friends or to even have a great Sunday lunch with the family and even has a great play area for the little ones. Share some meals, add a glass of wine or maybe a cocktail and you are ready to go.
You can find Toula’s at Shop 3, In Shere, 4 Graham Road, Silver Lakes, Pretoria or you can pop over to their website for more information.
