It’s my latest vice that’s made it’s way to my makeup collection, the Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick.
30 Shades. 2 Finishes. Oh boy!
These liquid lipsticks are water-proof; basically life-proof and offer that magical pigment that you can only expect from Urban Decay. With an impressive range of colours from your nudes to your reds to your purples, there is a colour for everyone. The two finishes are comfort matte and metallized. So you really have an amazing choice.
Urban Decay kindly sent me two shades to test out, Twitch which is a soft purple with a blue undertone, and Disturbed which is a deep brick red which also has a slight blue undertone in my opinion.
I actually bought Twitch as a Vice Lipstick a while ago (review coming soon) as I love it so much even though when I first saw it I was unsure! It was a daunting shade for me to try, but I found it actually worked well with my blonde hair.
Disturbed is perfect for winter with it’s vampy red hue.
The liquid lipsticks are easy to apply with the flocked paddle applicator. You can line your lips and then use one coat to fill in the colour.
Tip, don’t press your lips together after you’ve applied a layer. I made that mistake when I first tried Disturbed and I felt like it came off too easy when I ate or drank. But by allowing the layer to dry properly, you’ll struggle to remove the lip colour. You can even add another coat for a more intense colour.
I popped over to my favourite blog In The Frow and saw that Victoria had reviewed some of the nude shades she was sent from Urban Decay, and now I feel like I need to add either Trivia or Naked to my collection.
The Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick retails for R290.00 and is available from available Foschini Eastgate, Menlyn & foschiniforbeauty.co.za.
