Trying Out Some Beautiful Makeup from Sorbet
When it comes to the Sorbet brand, apart from their services, I’ve only tried out their skincare. You can read more about that here and here. I was recently sent some of their makeup items to try out and eagerly put them to the test. Let’s get straight into it shall we?

Face First Foundation
If you’ve been a reader for a while, you’ll know that packaging is a big deal for me. While a pump bottle foundation is my favourite, I’ve also noted a few times how I like using a dropper for foundation. So this already ticked a box for me in terms of the packaging.
The Sorbet Face First Foundation offers medium coverage which is perfectly fine for me as I usually use a concealer for the areas I want more coverage over. I think the best thing for me about this foundation though, is the way it applies. For lack of a better term, it’s so silky! Plus it gives the skin a healthy glow. I would purchase this foundation after my gifted bottle is done, especially as the price range is good. It retails in stores for R289.95.

Take A Brow
Where would my pale brows be without some product to help them along? This Take A Brow compact is so easy to use and comes with a small brush for you to apply and 2 different shades so depending on how dark you want them that day. It also includes a brow wax to keep them in shape. Available for R179.95 in stores.

Eye To Eye

These eyeshadow quads contain four pearly baked shades that manage to pack a punch. I’ve been testing out the Cocoa Crush quad which is bronze themed and works well with my blue eyes. The shadows are easy to apply and I enjoy their pigment, the only thing for me is that the colour dulls down a lot by the end of the day but maybe they’ll last longer if I pair it it with a primer?
This compact is perfect for travel in my opinion as you can create natural day looks and switch to a smoky eye in the evening. I would just recommend that you pack proper eye shadow brushes. Available in stores for R179.95.

Stroke of Genius Liner & Way Out Lash Mascara
I think these might be my two favourite makeup items from Sorbet so far! The Stroke of Genius liner is such a clever design. This curved eyeliner pen has been designed for easy and smooth application. It really is just so easy to use. So I can highly recommend it and it’s definitely worth the R199.95.
I’m super fussy with mascaras but I have been enjoying this Way Out Lash Mascara so far. It has a long comb like silicone brush that separates and defines your lashes. Add another coat, or two, and you get volume. This mascara retails for R149.95.

Shimmer & Glow
.
Any product with a highlight factor in, is a win for me. Love a bit of a shimmer and this product adds some colour and radiance to your cheeks. It’s another great travel product in my opinion again as it can even double up as an eye shadow. This is the Just Peachy palette which is more pink toned then the Bronzed Beauty which I think suits my fair skin a bit more. It retails for R199.95

Get Lippy & Matte Kisses
.
Even though its pointless wearing lipstick when you going out as you’ve got your mask covering your mouth, I have enjoyed these lipsticks for when I’m doing my makeup for video chats or blog photos. There is the Matte Kisses lipstick which comes in 12 shades, I’ve been wearing Hero which is a very comfortable semi matte and retails for R149.95. Then there is the Getty Lippy range which is creamier, I wear the shade Dream which I love! This retails for R139.95.

My overall impression of the Sorbet makeup is a great one! The products are easy to apply, I like the packaging and I can defintely tell that I will be purchasing some of the products once these are done. Have you tried any of their makeup? Don’t forget to check out my post about their BB cream and how I fee about it here.
