[BEAUTY]: Smashbox Spotlight Palette & Radiance Primer

Shine babe, shine!

These two products from Smashbox, namely the Photo Finish Radiance Primer and the Spotlight x Casey Holmes Palette are guaranteed to do just that!

Both of these products quickly became some of my favourite products to use, but I will admit that I prefer to use them for nights out instead of day to day use.

The Photo Finish Radiance Primer, which is a primer cream packed with hyaluronic acid & shea butter for instant & all-day moisture, adds a beautiful glow to your skin. It’s got micro-fine amber & bronze pearls to create that sun kissed look, along with a blur effect for your imperfections.

This primer blends in easily, leaves your skin with a satin-like feeling and just gives that radiant shine.

Personally, I like to sometimes add this just to my cheekbones, over my makeup, to add an extra highlighting effect.

Next up, we have the collaboration palette between Smashbox and YouTuber Casey Holmes. This Spotlight Palette in Pearl is best for fair to medium skin, while Gold is better for medium to dark skin.

With this palette, you get three shades, Turn It On; Crank It Up & Blow A Fuse.

Turn It Up, is a pale golden yellow with a yellow undertone and a pearl finish. Crank It Up is more of a peachy shade with a bronze, gold sheen while Blow A Fuse has a slightly more rose-golden hue and a lot of shimmer!

I like to use all three shades, but I only really noticed the true highlight effect of Blow A Fuse when I saw it in a photograph after a night out – shimmer, shimmer, shimmer!

This palette is wearable but I do recommend saving Blow A Fuse for a dazzling night out rather. Casey Holmes includes a guide of different effects and looks to create with these palettes which I really enjoy, especially if you’re new to the highlight game.

I also love that this palette is formulated without parabens, sulfates or phthalates, plus Smashbox is obviously cruelty-free.
