[BEAUTY]: Dermalogica Rapid Reveal Peel

Rapid Reveal Peel

I feel like Dermalogica has hit it out of the park with their releases this year, and these peels are no exception. I first started hearing about this product on Marianna Hewitt’s Instagram and Sivan Ayla’s Instagram, so I was patiently waiting for it to get to South Africa. It was 100% worth the wait!

What Does It Do?

While the word “peel” is pretty intimidating, I can tell you that there is nothing to be worried about when it comes to using these. I’ve never had a chemical peel so I can’t compare it but these tubes deliver powerful results with no downtime. Perfect for starting off a more intense skincare regime.

A distinctive complex of phytoactive AHA extracts, Lactic Acid, and fermented plant enzymes help reveal new, firmer skin. They also help in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by removing dulling surface debris without causing dehydration.

Pumpkin Fruit Enzyme and Rice Bran Extract help even skin tone by resurfacing the skin and accelerating cell turnover. Smoothing Australian Caviar Lime Extract brightens skin for a more radiant complexion.

How Do I Use It?

Dermalogica recommends a “kick-start” phase for those that are looking to achieve faster results. So you use one tube every day for 3 days. After the third day, transition to using one Rapid Reveal Peel tube every week.

I started the kick phase and used one tube every three days twice and now I’m switching to once a week. I’ve used three tubes and this is magic in a little package. I’m really impressed!

Apply and massage over your face and leave the product on for 3-7 minutes. The first time I used it, I was a bit nervous about how my skin would react so I only left it on for 3 minutes but now I leave it for 5-7 minutes. They warn you that you might feel a slight tingling, warm sensation. I thought it would occur after a few minutes but you feel it straight away. You get used to it though and after your second tube, you hardly feel it.

This pack retails at R1495.00, there are ten in a pack so you’re basically paying R149.50 per peel. Highly recommendable in my books!
