Wondering why I skipped June’s post and saved most of my item for July’s testing post? While June was a month that consisted of traveling (more on that soon) and then being sick in bed for most days. I didn’t even wear makeup so it wasn’t the best time to test out products. But July has rolled around and now I can share some of my thoughts with you.
Wet Brush Detangling Brush
I’m the type of person that constantly brushes her hair. I brush it when I wake up; usually when I get home and I have to brush it before bed. It’s just my thing. Since I tried the pink Wet Brush Detangling brush I fell in love. I then saw Kandy Kane mention how much she loved using the Speed Dry Brush so I bought one and now can’t dry my hair without one. So yes, as you can tell, I highly recommend this brand. Wet Brush kindly sent me this pretty marble one which is obviously very appealing to me. You can get them from Clicks ranging from R149.95 to R230.00.
Dear Beard Silver Rain Shampoo
I bought this shampoo from one of the Carlton Hair Salons a few weeks ago as my hairdresser kept recommending how great it is for blonde hair. It’s so popular that it’s hardly ever in stock so I bought it as soon as he said he had a bottle for me. It’s actually a men’s beard shampoo designed to remove all yellow tones but works so well for those with blonde hair. I haven’t used it as of yet as I’m still finishing my other bottle of blonde shampoo but I wanted to let you know about this Italian brand. I think I paid R225.00 for it (not 100% certain).
REN Glow Daily Vitamin C Gel Cream
When a product has Vitamin C in it – I’m already a fan of it! This Glow Daily Vitamin C Gel Cream from REN, is lightweight and is easily absorbed. It’s also got a fresh, fruity scent. It’s meant to target hyperpigmentation; uneven skin tone; dull looking skin and fine lines. I’m mostly looking forward to seeing if it will help my pigmentation spots. I’ll be using this daily for the rest of July. This product was kindly sent to me by REN (you can see my previous feature of REN here). It retails for R830.00 and is available online here.
Colab Dry Shampoo
Unicorns. Mermaids. Dry shampoo. A perfect combination in my opinion. I’m so not a fan of washing my hair, especially in the cold month of July so most of the time my hair is 90% dry shampoo. These have a light vanilla and plum fragrance and leave no white residue. Available from Clicks here for R79.99
Woolworths Carnation & Jasmine Hand and Nail Cream
Wintertime means I need about 5 hand creams. I have one at my desk; one in my car; one in my gym bag; and then next to my bed. I love these ones from Woolworths, they are cruelty-free and they contain 10% shea butter extract for added moisture. This Carnation & Jasmine scent is lovely – it makes me wish even more for spring! Available from Woolworths for R69.99
Nikel Nikelnutris Face Cream
I’ve seen a few beauty bloggers rave about this brand so I was looking forward to trying out some of their products when they contacted me. First of all, their packaging is so beautiful. I’ll definitely reuse this for some rings or stud earrings. This face cream is exceptionally rich and perfect for those with very dry; sensitive skin or mature skin. As much I wanted to like this cream, unfortunately, there is something in it that doesn’t agree with my skin. I know when a product is too rich as I break out with a rash. Their lip balm sounds amazing though. I’ll hopefully test out some more of their products to give the brand a proper try.
Let me know if you want any more in-depth reviews of these July products or if you want me to buy a product to test out?
