Testing, Testing

Yay, it’s time to chat about what products I’m currently testing. These products have recently landed on my beauty desk so I wanted to let you know what my first impressions are about the products as well as a bit more information on the products.

If you’ve missed my previous posts like this, you can head over to the last one which I did in May (yes, I know it’s been a while).

Pradiance

Introducing Pradiance, which was born of the dream that every person in the world should be in a position to use a natural and organic cosmetic, irrespective of income level. It’s a pretty new brand that’s come on the scene that is formulated for the demands of all skin types. I love that their logo is the Southern Hemisphere New Moon and a leaf. According to Pradiance, “Farmers who grow healing plants look at the moon cycle for best results when planting and harvesting their crops. The leaf is naturally the symbol for plants – plants allow the human species to thrive, especially if we choose organic. The gold colour symbolises the sun with the warmth and vitality it offers – as long as we expose ourselves to it wisely.”

I’ve been testing out their face wash; facial toner as well as their day cream. My favourite has been the facial toner which is more a facial mist and feels so great to spritz on after you’ve washed your face.

Prices range from R215.00 onwards and you can find out more on their website here.

Babor

next is a product I recently tested out on my latest trip up to Zambia. It’s the perfect combination of skincare and suncare (see my Instagram post here) . I really enjoyed using this lightweight sun protection that is fast absoring so I don’t have that sticky sunscreen feeling. It’s also suitable to be used on your face so it’s easier for packing.

It’s a pricey sunscreen but don’t forget that it’s basically a two in one product as Babor factors in their skincare into it. Available online here

R914.00 for 200ml (it’s quite a big bottle)

Barbara Hoffman

Another brand that is new to me, the Barbara Hoffman range of makeup brushes is available at Dis-Chem Pharmacies

This kabuki brush is perfect for traveling as it’s retractable and comes with this nifty packaging so it can fit easily into your handbag or makeup bag without getting damaged. I haven’t tried it as of yet but it can be used for powders; blush and bronzer.

Bionike

Next up is a product I’ve only used a few times so far but I’m so impressed with it! If you have dry skin, I highly recommend this cream from Bionike. While I don’t usually have dry skin, after recently being on anti-biotics, my skin was so dry but this cream was exactly what it needed!

The Bionike Defence Hydra5 Opthydra Moisturising Cream is also recommend for sensitive skin. It’s a rich texture which melts into your skin and contains the special DetoxHyal5 complex and is enriched with shea butter. It leaves your skin feeling firmer; smoother and hydrated.

Plus it’s an affordable cream at R225.00 from Dis-Chem

Palladio

I haven’t had a chance to test out the Under Eyes Disguise concealer  yet from Palladio but will definitely be using them soon. The full-coverage concealers help even skin out tone, cover imperfections and conceal under-eye circles. The yellow shade is used to camouflage dark circles and peach to minimize blue undertones and neutralize dark spots.

Available from Dis-Chem

Price TBC
