Calm Cream 5.1
When it comes to my skin, I’ve always classified it as ‘normal’. It’s not oily; it’s not dry and products for ‘normal’ skin always seem to work for me. Having said that though, I can tell when a product is too rich for my skin as it starts to get a bit red in areas, and starts to feel bumpy. That’s when the team at BABOR South Africa recommended I try their Skinovage Calm Cream 5.1.
ps: Did you see my last BABOR post?
Specially developed for sensitive skin
Sensitive skin often reacts with redness, irritation and unpleasant feelings of tension. It can quickly appear fatigued, mottled and flaky in patches. So even though my skin doesn’t react as badly, I feel like this cream is helping balance my skin and creating a calming effect.
Dry vs Dehydrated Skin
The reason why I also believe this cream has been working well for me, is that my skin tends to be quite dehydrated. Did you know that there is a difference between dry and dehydrated skin? Dehydrated skin lacks water and dry skin lacks oil. So your skin could be dehydrated, dry, or both.
I obviously try drink as much water as possible but weather conditions; environment and even caffeine can cause my skin to be dehydrated.

The Effect of The Skinovage Calming Cream 5.1
Thanks to the combination of allantoin; panthenol and BABOR’s Intense Calm Extract, this cream helps to reduce irritation and redness induced by stress. This then leads to the protective skin barrier appearing strengthened and less irritated.
I’ve definitely found that my skin is a lot more nourished after applying it. I can tell the next morning when I’ve forgotten to use it. I only use it in the evenings after cleansing my skin, but it is suitable for mornings and evenings.
Available from BABOR online and in salons for R1200.00.
