So we all know that Aloe Vera has so many healing properties, but what if I told you that Aloe Ferox has twice as many amino acids than aloe vera?
It’s also indigenous to South Africa and is grown without pesticides or chemicals. Plus it has 20 times more bitter sap containing Aloin which has healing properties, is an anti-oxidant and viral stimulant. Winning!
I’ve been testing out two of the products from the skincare division of the Aloe Unique range and here are my thoughts on them. ps: you’ll want to carry on reading for an exciting giveaway!
This Age Defying Serum from Aloe Unique contains high levels of Aloe Ferox leaf extract, Vitamin A, B, C & E and Borage Oil. It’s extremely lightweight and is instantly absorbed into your skin. It’s suitable to use both day and night as it isn’t too rich for your skin. I’ve only been using it for a few weeks but it’s help kept my skin hydrated as we start to hit the colder, drier weather here in Pretoria. I do think for winter it is best to use in conjunction with a heavier night cream as like I said, it is very lightweight.

Another product that has been helping to protect my skin against the dry season approaching, as well as helped heal my wind burn after my weekend away for Easter is the Aloe Gel.
Also very lightweight and made up of 99% pure Aloe Ferox gel, this gel helps heal skin as well as create a nourished looking complexion. It also helps sunburns; minor burns; rashes; insect bites; dry skin and other skin irritations. I think this is perfect to add to your first aid kit for when you’re traveling as it’s such a multi-purpose product, in fact I’ve given it to my mom to take with her to Zambia this week!
You can apply this gel when needed.
